WFSDallas Names Laura Ward as New President and CEO
Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas (WFSDallas) announces the appointment of Laura Ward as the new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective December 1, 2025. Ward succeeds Ashlee Verner, who has served as Interim President and CEO and will continue her leadership with the organization as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President.
WFSDallas and Groundwork Outreach Kick -Off Canvassing Campaign to Connect Residents with Career Services
WFSDallas officially launched a new community canvassing campaign in partnership with Groundwork Outreach on December 16 at the Pleasant Grove Workforce Center. The kickoff event gave WFSDallas staff an opportunity to see firsthand how canvassing efforts will help connect Dallas residents to vital employment services.
Groundwork Outreach canvassers will engage directly with residents to better understand the barriers that may be preventing them from accessing workforce services. Using tablets, canvassers will survey residents and provide information about job training, employment opportunities, and other resources available through WFSDallas.
Supporting Our Community: WFSDallas Volunteers at Goodwill Industries of Dallas
During the holidays, we take time to reflect on our purpose, this month we had the opportunity to give back by volunteering at Goodwill Industries of Dallas for their Goods for Good project. Donations were collected for the Voice of Hope Ministries and Dwell with Dignity.
