On January 27, Vogel officially unveiled its new child care center at The Shops at RedBird, a move that underscores the organization’s ongoing commitment to supporting families. The grand opening, which featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, was led by our board director, Karen Hughes, President and CEO of Vogel. Since its inception in 1987, Vogel has been a pillar in providing therapeutic services that help children and families prevent and overcome the deep-rooted effects of homelessness and poverty.

Located in the heart of Redbird, the new facility is designed to meet the needs of children aged six weeks through Pre-K, with space for up to 130 children. In addition to fostering academic growth, the center emphasizes the importance of social-emotional development, ensuring that children receive a well-rounded foundation for future success.

One standout feature of the Vogel RedBird facility is its priority placement system. Local employees of businesses within The Shops at RedBird are given first access to enroll their children, as are families already supported by Vogel’s various programs. This approach ensures that the surrounding community has access to high-quality, affordable child care, with additional spots available to families throughout southern Dallas.

This new center is more than just a place for child care—it’s a space where children can grow, thrive, and gain the tools they need to overcome challenges, all while their families receive the support they deserve. With its focus on both the children’s academic and emotional well-being, Vogel’s new RedBird location is set to make a lasting impact on the community it serves.

We’re excited to see how this facility will continue to empower families.
