A row of computer workstations with red chairs is set up in a modern office environment. Above the workstations, a sign on the wall reads "Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas" in bold letters. Each workstation has a computer monitor displaying the Windows desktop screen, indicating that the space is designed for public use, likely for job searching or workforce development activities. The setup is clean and organized, reflecting a professional and welcoming atmosphere.

With each New Year often comes new opportunities, new resolutions, and new commitments to doing and becoming better. For Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas, as an organization providing services to employers and job seekers, it’s no different.

This January Workforce Board Leaders will gather with the leadership of its contractor, Equus Workforce Solutions, to discuss performance from last year and what could be done differently in 2025.

“It’s an opportunity to take the lid off and think outside the box” says Steven Bridges, Industry Communications Manager for Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas. “While the focus for the end result will be on performance, it’s often the changes you make to daily operations that has the greatest impact. How can we serve our customers better?”

Those changes, Mr. Bridges mentioned, will include a new look at Industry Sector Partnerships, a project spearheaded by the tri-agency support of Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas, Dallas College, and the Dallas Regional Chamber.

“Our response to the needs of each Industry Sector Partnership will be the key driver in helping us to develop a system that better serves our employers and job seekers” Bridges said. “Having a clear understanding of Industry needs and the jobs they have available, will enable us to have a stronger solution for our job seekers when it comes to helping them navigate the world of work”.

Bridges stated that he is very excited about having the leadership come together and put all their ideas on the table. “I’m really looking forward to gathering with such a talented group of people who understand the day in, day out operations of our workforce system. I used to be there, and I know what it’s like to work on the front lines and management. It will be a great opportunity for them to break away, get creative, and look at their jobs from a new perspective”.

New perspectives that Bridges hopes will develop into new practices and better performance.

“I like to approach these meetings from the “3-S” standpoint. What should we Start doing? What should we Stop doing? And, what should we Sustain?”
